Peaceful Petals Floral Thank You

I love this new set called "Peaceful Petals" by Stampin' Up!  I stamped the image then colored it with my copics.  The embossing folder is a new one my DH gave me for Christmas.  It's the 8 1/2" x 11" embossing folder for my ebosser.  I can't remember the name of it, but I love being able to emboss an 8" x 11" piece of paper all at once, then I can just cut it down to 4" x 5 1/4" and have 4 pieces of embossed paper!   Quick, fast, easy, fun!

For some reason I'm really enjoying using monochromatic colors lately, and this card is no exception.  Here's all the details:

Stamps:  Peaceful Petals
Paper:  Whisper White, Gumball Green, Pistachio Pudding
Ink:  Momento Tuxedo Black, Gumball Green
Misc:  Spectrum Noir Pens, embossing folder

I hope you have a great day!  Thanks for stopping by!

Altered Z Fold Card and Video Tutorial

I just love these cards!!!  I made them in the following colors:  Wisteria Wonder, Pistachio Pudding, Pool Party & Real Red.  I made 25 of the Wisteria Wonder ones yesterday.  I'm going to use them for my swap cards at a Northern Virginia Stampin' Up! get together at the beginning of March.  I'm going to make 25 more in Pistachio Pudding.  I used the hostess stamp set "Simply Sketched" for the top 3 cards, and the real red card has an added butterfly from "Papillion Potpourri".  I used the SU embossing folder called Perfect Polka Dots and the Scallop Trim Border punch.  The sentiment on the front is cut from the small oval and scalloped oval punches.   Here's the video on how I made the card:  (sorry, but at the end of the video you will hear Winnie barking.  She refuses to come all the way up to my stamping room because the steps have oak risers rather than carpet and she's afraid she'll slip....silly little dog!)

Thanks for stopping by today.  I hope you'll give this wonderful card a try!

3 Flowers

I was playing around with my new stamp set "Petite Petals" by SU with the matching punch.  I used a butterfly embossing folder on the left hand side and bottom, and stamped 3 flowers on the top right hand side.  I popped up one of the flowers with a pop dot and added small pearls in the center of each flower.  I added the happed birthday sentiment as a last thought.  I may make some more of these today in different color combinations.

I'm going to a SU get together in March and I've been working on my swap cards.  I really like how they're turning out.  I made 25 yesterday.  I want to make some more today.  And I want to make a video tutorial.  I think I'm going to be busy on my day off from work!  LOL

I hope you have a wonderful day!

Wedding Flowers

I made this card this morning for today's Featured Stamper challenge on SCS.  I am going to use it for one of my clients who is getting married in a couple of weeks.  I had fun punching out the "Petite Petals" flowers by SU using the matching stamp set and punch.  The greenery is stamped using the "Little Branches" stamp set by Gina K.   The sentiment is from the same Gina K set.

Stamps:  Petite Petals (SU), Little Branches (Gina K)
Paper:  Whisper White, Blushing Bride, Pistachio Pudding, Pink Passion
Ink:  Pink Passion, Pistachio Pudding
Misc:  Petite Petals punch, oval punch, ribbon, embossing folder, pearls

I'm so excited to have tomorrow off for Presidents' day.  I hope to spend the day stamping and maybe even doing some stitching.

Have a great week!

Oriental Flower Swap Cards

We're having a swap over on Speedy TV and these are the cards I made for the swap.  The April theme is "flowers" and since it's an oriental swap set, I just had to use the Japanese cherry blossoms image and some fan background paper.

Here's the free stamp set you will receive if you participate in the swap

Here's a link to the swap site

I hope you have a wonderful long weekend.  I have to work today, but we don't open until 11am.  I have to take Winnie to the groomer before I go to work.  Great, she gets groomed and we have a foot of snow on the ground!  Doesn't make a lot of sense, huh?

Easy Floral Thank You Note

I made a few of these cards to use as thank you notes for my clients.  I used the large flower and stamped off once before stamping to make the background a little lighter.  I used the leaf motif and stamped it on the envelope to dress it up a little bit.

Stamps:   Love and Prayers by Gina K, Teeny Tiny Wishes by SU
Paper:  Snow Storm Smooth, Crisp Cantalope
Ink:  Crisp Cantalope
Misc:  none

We're suppose to get snow tonight and tomorrow.  I kind of hope we do get a lot so that I can play hooky from work tomorrow and stamp!  LOL  For those of you who live south of me, I hope you are safe and warm at home!  It sounds like the south is getting really hammered.

My cards today have 2 purposes; one for the Featured Stamper challenge over on SCS, the other for the Christmas card challenge on Speedy TV.  The stamp set is from Mark's Finest Papers, a Heinrich Co. called "Holly Jolly Greetings".  It's one of my favorite Christmas sets!

A Birdie Birthday

Isn't this little bird the cutest thing?  It's from the stamp set "Party On" by Gina K.  The happy birthday sentiment is from "Teeny Tiny Wishes" by Stampin' Up.  It's hard to tell in the photo, but the embossing folder I used says "happy birthday" all over it.

Stamps:  Party On, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Paper:  Snow Storm Smooth, Gumball Green, pink from my stash
Ink:  Momento Tuxedo Black, Raspberry Ripple
Misc:  Spectrum Noir Pens, happy birthday EF

We're suppose to get a little snow here in Northern Virginia tomorrow, but we'll see.  The weather man hasn't been right yet on calling for snow, so I'm not overly excited about it.

I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!

Floral Thank You

This is another card I made over the weekend.  For the background, I stamped off twice before stamping the image because the Strawberry Slush ink is so vibrant.  I wanted a softer look for the background.  The stamp set is "Love and Prayers" by Gina K, and the sentiment if from "Teeny Tiny Wishes" by SU.  I liked these so much I made 4 of them.

Stamps:  Love & Prayers by Gina K, Teeny Tiny Wishes by SU
Paper:  Snow Storm Smooth by MFP, Strawberry Slush
Ink:  Strawberry Slush, Always Artichoke
Misc:  ribbon

Thanks for stopping by to take a peek today.  I hope you like my card!

Soft Yellow Birthday

This card is really light in color, but I think I like it.  It was my second card that I made yesterday for the Inspiration Challenge on SCS.  I used So Saffron CS & ink.

Stamps:  SU Perfect Petals, Gina K Birthday Duo (sentiment)
Ink:  So Saffron
Paper:  Snow Storm Smooth, Speedy Cat Black Linen--MFP, So Saffron

I'd like to watch the Puppy Bowl and the Kitty Bowl today, but Winnie barks at any animals on the television, so I doubt we'll get to see much of either one.  Of course we'll be watching the Super Bowl tonight.  I'm a Kansas City Chiefs fan, but I'll pull for Peyton Manning and the Broncos tonight.
