Pet Sympathy

Speedy Fox and Friends Blog Challenge~~embossing

Pat challenged us to emboss our main image for this weeks Speedy Fox and Friends Blog Challenge.  I decided to do heat embossing and make a winter card.  I stamped the image with the trees from the stamp set "Ice and Snow" by Mark's Finest Papers.  I then added white flower soft along the bottom of the trees to simulate snow, and added Frosted Lace Stickles to the tree limbs for ice.  The stickles don't show up very well in the photo, but look very pretty IRL.  I hope you will play along with us this week for the challenge.  You may even win one of MFPs stamp sets!

Stamps:  Ice and Snow
Paper:  Snow Storm Smooth, Speedy Cat Black Linen
Ink:  VersaMark
Misc:  MS snow flake border punch, stickles, flower soft, black embossing powder.

Have a wonderul weekend!

Flamingo Hot

Today's Free 4 All challenge over on SCS was to use hot pink.  Well, I had the perfect stamp set from Mark's Finest Papers, a Heinrich Co called "Flamingos on Vacation".  I had to stamp the background paper with the sentiment from the set that says "hot"!  LOL  I put some pink bling on the flamingo to make it look even hotter.  And of course I just had to make another tent topper card because it's still my favorite technique!

Stamps:  Flamingos on Vacation
Paper:  Snow Storm Smooth, Dark Chocolate Bar, Melon Mambo
Ink:  Melon Mambo
Misc:  bling, Stampin Write Marker Melon Mambo

I hope everyone has a wonderful Memorial Day Weekend!

These little Scenic Selections stamps are just so dang cute!!!!  I just had to make some gift enclosure cards with them.  I chose to make 4 different colored cards and matched the ink to the cardstock.  The blue one is suppose to be a "blue spruce".  You can use this set with so many other sets to add elements here and there.  This is a must have set in my opinion!  Here are the details:

This is such a wonderful Father's Day set.  In addition to the silouette above, there is another one with a man and his dog who is fishing.   That's the one that Winnie is going to give her Daddy for Father's Day.   LOL  I really like CAS cards, and this one could not be easier.  I stamped the image with Night of Navy on Bashful Blue, layered white behind it and put it on Night of Navy card stock.  I stamped the sentiment on Bashful Blue and punched it out with a 1 3/4" punch, then popped it up on a white scalloped 2 1/4" scallop punch.  Done.

Stamps:  Get Reel
Paper:  Snow Storm Smooth, Bashful Blue, Night of Navy

Misc: punches, pop dots

These daisies are so much fun to color!!!  I stamped the background with the leaf motif stamp that is in the set with Versa Mark ink to give the background some texture.  After I stamped the background, I spritzed it with yellow smooch spritz to give it a light sheen.  It doesn't show up real well in the photo, but looks very nice in real life.

Stamps:  Oopsy Daisy
Paper:  Snow Storm Smooth, Daffodil Delight, Always Artichoke, brown from my stash
Ink:  Tim Holtz Distress Ink Frayed Burlap, Palette Noir Black, VersaMark
Misc:  nesties, MS border punch, copics, micro beads, oval & scallop oval punches, smooch spritz

Train of Thought.......

This is my card for today's CAS challenge over on SCS.  The challenge was to use 3 panels.  I used the stamp set "Train Talk" by Mark's Finest Papers, a Heinrich Co.  This was a very quick card to make.  I stamped the train image on very light peach CS, then cut it into 3 panels, layered the image on Calypso Coral, then layered it again on Dark Chocolate Bar by MFP.  Quickly stamped the sentiment and added 3 brass brads, then Viola' the card was finished.

Stamps:  Train Talk
Ink:  Calypso Coral, Chocolate Chip
Paper:  Dark Chocolate Bar by MFP, Calypso Coral, light peach from my stash
Misc:  brass brads

Don't forget that our blog hop starts tomorrow.  I hope you can join us all 4 days!

I call this card Butterfly Sympathy.  I made it for today's Inspiration Challenge over on SCS.  The site for the Inspiration Challenge is called Hard to Find.  They had some really neat things on the site.  I chose a black & white butterfly pillow as my inspiration.

The  butterfly images are from the soon to be released (next Tuesday) set called "Scenic Selections".  I stamped the images and sentiment with VersaMark ink and used black embossing powder.  The white squares are 1 3/8" and the black squares are 1 1/2".

Stamps:  Scenic Selections
Ink:  VersaMark
Paper:  Snow Storm Smooth, Speedy Cat Black Linen
Misc:  black embossing powder, MS edge punch

I hope you're having a great Saturday.

Speedy Fox Blog Challenge~~Use Chalks

Tammylee challenged us to use chalks this week for the Speedy Fox Blog Challenge. I used 2 different stamp sets from Mark's Finest Papers, a Heinrich Company.  The large tree is from "A Walk in the Woods" and the small trees, birds, rocks and grass are from the newly released set called "Scenic Selections".  For the trees, I stamped them in VersaMark ink, then chalked with different colors of green over the VersaMark.  I also chalked my clouds.  I used an oval scallop punch to make them.

Stamps:  Scenic Selections, A Walk in the Woods
Paper:  Snow Storm Smooth, Blue Bayou
Ink:  Versa Mark, Going Grey, Always Artichoke, Not Quite Navy
Misc:  chalks, scallop oval punch

Ladybug Birthday

Today's color challenge over on SCS was to use Pacific Point, Certainly Celery and Crumb Cake.  These colors turned out to be very easy for me, however, my photo does not show the true colors!  It's overcast here today, and I think that added to my problems of trying to photograph the card.

I used my new favorite technique to make this card called tent topper card.  I love making these cards.

Also, the stamps I used for this card is a sneak peak of 2 of the 4 stamp sets being released next week by Mark's Finest Papers, a Heinrich Company.  Our blog hop starts next Tuesday, so I hope you will join us and comment on each blog for your chance to win that days stamp set!

Stamps:  Oopsy Daisy, Flamingos on Vacation (zig zag)
Paper:  Snow Storm Smooth, Crumb Cake, Pacific Point, Certainly Celery
Ink:  Palette Noir Black, Pacific Point
Misc:  copics

I hope you're having a great week.  Don't forget to join us next week for our blog hop!!!!

Speedy Fox Blog Challenge~~use 3 of something

Our challenge for Speedy Fox Blog Challenge this week was to use 3 of something.  So I used 3 peach pearls on my card.  This is my new favorite technique.  It's called a card topper.  I'm going to try to make a video tutorial this weekend.  The photo shows the card and the envelope behind it.  I stamped "Mother" down the left hand side of the envelope.  The card is for my MIL for mother's day.

This is a photo of just the card.  I hope she likes it.  Peach is her favorite color, so I had to make the magnolia peach colored.

Stamps:  Mother's Magnolia
Paper:  Bazzill Shimmer purple, Snow Storm Smooth, Peach Parfait
Ink:  Peach Parfait, Palette Noir Black
Misc:  heart lace, copics, Prima pearls

I hope you'll play along with us this week at Speedy Fox Blog Challenge

Pansy Postage Birthday

I really like the "Sending Happy Thoughts" stamp set from Mark's Finest Papers, a Heinrich Company, but I don't use it a lot.  I'm going to make a real effort to use it more!  LOL  I stamped the small pansy from the "Spring Flowers" set on the background of my card, then spritzed the front of the card with lavendar Smooch Spritz.  It's very subtle, but very effective at adding that little someting.

Stamps:  Sending Happy Thoughts, Spring Flowers
Paper:  Almost Amethyst, Snow Storm Smooth
Ink:  Palette Noir Black, Almost Amethyst
Misc:  ribbon, hat pin, pop dots

I hope everyone is having a great week.
