3x3 Pizza Box

This is another VSN challenge that I didn't get loaded. We were to make a pizza box in red. I decided to make some cards to go in it. Some are any occasion, and some are birthday. I used a lot of different border punches to make the medallions, and Candy Lane DSP along with Riding Hood Red & Pink Pirouette paper. Any stamping was done in Riding Hood red.
Hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend. It's sunny todayk and very nice out.

American Hero MMSC15 **2nd post today**

THIS IS MY 2ND POST TODAY SO PLEASE SCROLL DOWN TO SEE THE FIRST POST.

This is my entry for the MMSC 15 challenge. I had a hard time visualizing what I wanted to do, and then it hit me, a tribute to our American Military, and this is what I came up with. Check out the challenge over on Priscilla's blog here http://priscillastyles.blogspot.com/2009/08/midnight-madness-by-priscilla-mmsc15.html

Stamps: Godspeed
Paper: Various unknown DSP, Real Red, Not Quite Navy, beige, Brocade Blue
Ink: Not Quite Navy, Brocade Blue
Misc: star nail heads, ribbon, pop dots

The 4 corners are suppose to be "service stars" which is a red rectangle with a blue star in the middle representing that a loved one is deployed to a combat zone. However, I took artistic license and used gold nail heads, and stamped the rectangle in not quite navy. I distressed the main image and sponged brocade blue ink around the outside before mounting it on brocade blue and then night of navy.

Let me know what you think.

It's 5 O'Clock Somewhere

This is one of my challenge cards from last weekend over on SCS VSN (virtual stamping night). We were to make our favorite martini, and then make a card using specific colors to that martini, And of course I had to make a cosmopolitan!!! So we had to use Green Galore, Pumpkin Pie & Regal Rose colors. I used it in paper & ink, The martini glasses on the background are stamped in all 3 colors. And it was hard, but I didn't color with my prismas and baby oil. Instead I used an aqua painter & stamp pads! That was a real challenge for me!!!! LOL.

Stamps: HM Olive a Party, Ms $1 acrylic stamps
Paper: Whisper white, Green Galore, Pumpkin Pie, Regal Rose
Ink: Basic Grey, Going Grey, Bahful Blue, Pumpkin Pie, Regal Rose, Green Galore
Misc: Aqua painter, melon mmabo ribbon, crystal effects (bottom of the glass below the olive

3 different couples have looked at our townhouse this weekend., Hopefully one of them will want ot rent it. Keep your fingers crossed for us.

Dusty Bermuda Birthday

I really really don't like this card. I just think in is too plain, and down right ugly. However, since I made it & photographed it, I thought I'd might as well post it. I do think I like these 2 papers together though. It's a little "different".

Stamps: Big Birthday Candle, Bitty Birthday
Paper: Dusty Durango Bermuda Bay
Ink: Dusty Durango, Bermuda Bay
Misc: Brads

I hope everyone had a wonderful week! TGIF

Yellow Blossom

This card is one of my new "favorites", so I may make a few more of them. It just really appealed to me when I saw it on SCS! Unfortunately, as usual, I don't know who to give credit to, so if anyone recognizes it, please leave me a message & I'll give proper credit!

Stamps: Bloomin' Beautiful
Paper: white, black, Yo Yo Yellow
Ink: Staz-On black, whisper white
Misc: prismas, baby oil, blending stumps, MS 1/2 back pearls in black & white, ribbon, SU corner punch

I made lots of cards today, so I'll have plenty to post all week. Hopefully this week will not be as disjointed as last week was. We're still waiting on the contingency to be removed from the sell agreement on the house that we want to buy. He's asked for a few more days, so keep your fingers crossed that by noon Wed, we'll have an unemcumbered sells agreement on my dream house!!!!!!

Have a wonderful week!

My First Shutter Card

This is a really fun card to do. And it's so easy. There are several patterns out there, but this one is:
Cut paper 12" x 5 1/2"
Score @ 2", 4," 8", 10"
"
Turn paper on long side @ 1 1/2" and cut from the 2" score to the 10" score. Flip paper & repeat on the other long side.
Decorate.
Fun!
I used a lot of different stamp sets, etc, so if anyone wants to exact stamp sets, leave me a message & I'll post them.
No news on the house yet. Of course I'm on pins & needles.
Have a wonderful evening.
Happy Stamping!

Riley Moose Birthday

This was a really fun card to color & make. The sentiment on the outside says "hope your day is blooming with love". I just thought that was so appropriate for Riley!

Misc: Prismas, baby oil, kiwi kiss reinker to dye the flower, brad

We're in a holding pattern on the house. We have a contingent sells agreement. We'll know by Friday at 6pm if the seller can make everything work. At least he's accepted our offer with the contingency! Keep your fingers crossed for us.

I hope everyone is having a great week.

Hummingbird Birthday

Sorry it's been a couple of days since I posted. It's going to be like this for a few more days as we continue to work on finding a house to buy. At least we got our townhouse on the rental market today. We have a bid in on a house that I LOVE, and have countered the counter offer, so we'll see. It will be tomorrow before we know anything. We withdrew the offer on the first house we wanted because the realtor was playing games with us.

I'm really on a roll with birds/hummingbirds and purple. Oh, well.

Stamps: Spring Song
Paper: Lovely Lilac DSP, Certainly Celery, white
Ink: Staz-on black, Lovely Lilac
Misc: Prismas, blending stumps, baby oil, ribbon, stickles (on the birdies tummy), although you really can't tell it in the picture

I'll try to post again tomorrow or Wed at the latest, but no promises.

Happy Stamping!
